West Ham accused of sex discrimination by ladies' team


West Ham have been accused of breaking Football Association rules on discrimination - by the chairman of the West Ham Ladies team.


Stephen Hunt, filed a formal complaint with the Football Association money and equipment after months of controversy.

"Even to begin to behave as is the case in the 21st century club, West Ham should be good," he told BBC Sport.

Following the complaint, and West Ham, and says it will charge at the end of the women's team.

According to Hunt, and West Ham find private sponsors, and stop, because they have to buy their own groups, they will not have enough funds.

He promised choice for West Ham for the cost, but in the Premier League club not money comes through, also stopped responding to their email.

He said his team, who play in the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division, will not do so in his gym the third level of women's football that West Ham should create a road.

They can also pay cut last season at home with a physiotherapist or afford to take a bus to the match, and players' names on the back of the cross season.

"West Ham is a violation of the fundamental objectives of the FA to promote basic equality and football at every level," he added.

"At first I thought it was a lack of interest, I have a positive intent by senior managers at West Ham West Ham to do is to block the development of women.

"This neglect is out - he's trying to starve us any kind of funding."

What West Ham say


West Ham say they want equality in sport, but women did not work with the current management team.

"Support, encourage women and sport facility is very important for a strong community and dedication to the principles of equality in club West Ham United, sport," it said in a statement.


"Some time ago, a third-party transfer to West Ham United FC Women's Day today, management, and unfortunately it is an arrangement does not work.

The West has refused to comply with the principles and pork, in a number of occasions, threatened club.

In response, Hunt said he threatened to reject the club and was happy to put the club's women's team if the guarantees and assurances ladies are protected more than he had received.
